Great forum this is my first post but i have used these resources to successfully reno 1 bathroom into 1 + en-suite so happy days!

My next project is replacing the gappy, squeaky wide yellow cypress boards in our Cal Bungalow.

The question is: can i use a secret nail gun to hold and compress the boards together even if they are not a secret nail profile? i plan on top nailing along a chalk line or similar as i like the wider 108mm boards, is this a viable option or do i have to clamp them together in groups? (which i don't want to do).

Floor is onto Joists in Melbourne and will be Tas Oak, not sure if new or Second hand yet.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
