I have some 14mm engineering floorboards that I need to glue direct on slab.

I am going to use Bostik Ultraset 3-in-1 and it is recommending using a 6mmx6mm V notch trowel.

Once the flooring is laid onto the glue, what is the finished height of the floor after it is compressed? Is it 14+3mm = 17mm?

Also I need to lay some 10mm tiles outside. DAVCO make a tile adhesive product suitable for outdoors but they are recommending only a 6mm notch trowel. Wouldn't you use something thicker for outside?

Is there a formula to workout the finished floor height based on trowel notch size? (i.e. 10mm trowel provides 5mm finished adhesive height etc.)
