I recently built a deck for my renovations, and am now wanting to put a pergola over it.

I’m wondering how to do it without demolition the handrails I built.

I used 125x125mm cypress posts as the stumps for the sub floor, which run through the deck to create the handrail.

Is there a metal sleeve I can get that slips over the top of the existing handrail posts which allows me to connect another post to the handrail posts to extend up and support the front of the pergola?
