Default Frameless Glass Shower Door Hinge Removal Help!

    Hi all,

I'm replacing a pair of hinges (hinge 180deg) on my frameless glass shower door and currently the hinges do not have any bolts external to loosen.

I was wondering if someone here might be able to guide me as to how to remove them with out turning my door into tiny pieces.

    Thanks
    Peter

If you can take a photo of the hinges and post it up then someone might be able to tell you how it's fixed.

You may find that the gold bit on each leaf is just a cover for the structural part of the hinge.See if you can flip it over and expose the fixings.

You may find that the axle/post of the hinge is actually inserted from the top of the door and is removable that way. That's the only way I can think of, as the hinge part looks to be in one piece. I frequently work on 19" electronic equipment racks and they often have a post that you can pull out of the hinge for removal of the door. Maybe this door uses the same principle?

Tools - Go to the top of the class... you were right! Came off relatively easy... there were a few anxious moments wondering if I was just going to smash something!
