Default minor repair to acrylic/fibreglas bath tub?

I have a new ensuite with acrylic/fibreglass bath tub. Aftr all finished discovered some minor damage had happened somewhere along the line. I think damage is only in the acrylic, and worst is aout 5mm gouge on tub floor which might go all the way through the acrylic to the fibreglass (but not through the fibreglass). How can I do a quick and cheap repair? Can I sand away the roughness and use some kind of filler and paint over? Mainly worried about functional rather than looks, only a cheap tub. Asked at Bunnings but they didn't recommend anything. Thanks!

Yuo could use gel coat or flow coat, the same stuff used to repair boat hulls and decks, Gel coat has no added wax so needs a film of plastic over it to cure, Floe coat has wax added so can be applied direct and allowed to cure.

Overfill slightly and allow to fully cure than sand and polish.

Alternatively contact one of the many bath repair specialists.

    Good luck.
Growing old is compulsory, growing up is not.

Where do I buy flow coat from, and how much does it cost?

BTW I tried contacting a number of repairers, but didn't get much response. However, I suspect they would probably charge at least $150 or more to come and do it...
