Sika showerbond - any alternatives

Have only used the Showerbond once but have used a lot of the other Sika products particularly the automotive range, generally the products excel at the specific job they are intended for. I would be concerned with alternatives having unwanted affect on acrylic panels.

The product identifies with plastic shower panels which are generally PVC. Liquid Nail products are also generally used on PVC and are much cheaper, why I wonder about the Sika product.

Personally I have never liked liquid nails much and would like to find the best product for adhering PVC to plywood. I am considering polyurethanes like 11FC.

Have only ever used the Showerbond on Acrylic shower wall panels so cannot comment on how it works on PVC.

Stand corrected, the product I am looking at is acrylic, apologies all.

PVC requires treating with Sika Aktivator-215 when using 11FC. Have you looked at Sikaflex-111 Stick & Seal ?

I am dealing with PVC as well so good to know Whitey.
