Default Tastic Luminate Dual 3 in 1 Bathroom Heater, Exhaust Fan & Light - White

I have been thinking about getting one of these for a bathroom renovation.

Has anyone got one, installed one or and has anything nice to say about them? I can't find any reviews on this particular model however I can find heap of bad reviews on a simular unit the Neo. I don't want to make a $800 mistake.

    Please help

Never installed one, only ones I have had in the past I have removed so I can fit separate lighting and ventilation. Never seen one with reasonable lighting, the exhaust function I have seen is minimal, the heat lamp appear to work but as a combined unit I do not rate them.

That is my personal opinion, YMMV.

I don't know this model in particular but in general the Tastic's fans shake the lights and heater filaments until they fail prematurely, the extraction rate is poor, they are noisey, you can't see your face in the mirror as the light is useless downlight from behind you, the heat level is marginal and they soon become ghastly three-dimensional sculptures of spiderwebs and dust. Having said that, some people love them - go figure...

Hadn't seen this model until now. On face value it doesn't look like it has enough open area to create great suction.

Does anyone know when this model was released? Was it release to address the shortcomings of the Neo? which from all reports was a POS. I must admit we had a 4 burner tastic in the bathroom we are renovating and it hadn't missed a beat in 16 years. Yeah sure the heat lamps blew but I did notice that the IXL lamps out lasted the cheaper HPM ones easy. Maybe I should just get another one of those.

We have the 4 burner/1 light Silhoette with the slotted cover and it does fine for us (John2b may go on about how wrong I am ). Replaced once in ~20 years. Not a bad run, and they keep making them so a replacement just slots into place with no other adjustments required

Had one of these at our last place for 10 years. Cant remember the model/brand.

It did fail after about 8 years but agree with some other comments here where the exhaust function was barely OK and loud, the light function was useless and as such the family used all 4 heat lamps for general lighting...leaving them on for hours!

Didnt bother installing one in our current place (wires installed just in case). The exhaust fan above the shower does a better job and much quieter, the center standard high lumens LED light also is far better and after 12 months of family winging there is no heat lamp and me bluffing with some other excuse, its all been quite for the last 5 years
