    Default complementary colour suggestions

    folks, our pool fence is mist green (pale eucalypt). Due to uneven ground, we have had to ditch the colour bond posts that came with it in favour of longer wooden posts. question is now, what colour to paint these new posts. they are 90 x 90 treated pine jobbies. any suggestions would be appreciated. photographs showing suggestions will be greatly appreciated. cheers, ajm

    Why not just paint them the same colorbond colour?

    As an analyst you should know the saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

    Check the colorbond website, they have complementing colour palettes for all their shades.

    Drive around town looking out for mist green roofs. Take note of the fascia colours, Windows and trims. Smooth/classic cream seems to be its partner but these colours do not seem as popular as they once were.

    a darker green, or classic cream - but painting the posts will make them 'pop' as they say in design shows and you may not want that...

    unfortunately, most analysts will keep fixing and tweaking things until they are perfect (analyst speak for broken!)

    If an analyst is unable to suggest an improvement, they are "no longer required".

    Bush Smoke or Planet Green might look good. It really depends whether you want a contrast or a blend. Are there other colours on your house that you want to continue to the pool?
