Default Painting onto Brick - Internal

Hello, I am wanting to paint an internal red brick wall gloss white. Can I get some advice on cleaning the bricks, materials needed and if a brick sealer coat is needed before applying primer and then first coat of paint?

    Thanks in advance.

give the brick a good clean with a hard bristled brush or broom. vacuum between bricks to get rid of any loose mortar/dust.
i would use 2 coats of undercoat to hide the red brick as much as possible before you use a top coat. and then start painting top coat!

    simple, straight forward, easy!

p.s i would recommend a spray gun as it would be a hell of a lot easier getting into the bricks cracks.
