    Default Backblocking without ceiling access

    G'day all
I am finally getting around to re-sheeting a large ceiling (14 2400 x 1200 sheets more or less). This is also the floor of upstairs, so no access for backblocking afterwards. I have done this before by mixing a small quantity of backblocking cement, laying an offcut on the join of the sheet already in place, then cranking the next sheet in place ASAP, before the BB cement goes off. Then chuck out that offcut and do it all again ... 12 times in this case.
BB is needed for this number of joins, no question. Is there any other way to do it? Is there any slow-set BB on the market (5 hours would be good)? Any other tips?
    Cheers

I'm not sure what 'chuck out that offcut' means. Doesn't it stay in place above the join?

MastaBlock or citric acid looks the way to go gents .... the family plaster lifters will be busy!
The reference to "chuck out" was the scrap of plasterboard on which one mixes the backblocking cement - you throw out lots of lumpy scraps after the stuff sets.
