finishing filler over plaster after primer

You can go over the imperfections with topping coat and sand lightly. Most topping coats will stick to primers and paint (except gloss enamel in my experience) If you can get "4T formula 1" topping it will do the job very easily - much better (finer and smoother) topping than any Australian made stuff - usually available at specialist gyprock supply shops. Otherwise CSR topping will do the job also.

What he said.......works no problems at all....when dru, just sand it down and prime it again!
