Question How many screws for plasterboard ceiling at wall edge?

    Hi.

I am putting up some plasterboard ceilings (10mm Gyprock), and following the Gyprock guide, using screws and adhesive to timber joists. The guide says: "Fasten ends of sheets at a maximum 300mm centres for a cornice finish, or at a maximum 150mm centres for a set finish." So I'm wondering how many screws should be used along the edge (not ends) of the sheets where they meet the walls? Is it fine to just go with joist spacing (< 450mm), or do I need to add extra battens in between so it is also max 300mm or 150mm centres?

    thanks!

    Craig
