House slab vs footings and infill slab

I am building into the side of a cut in the slope of the block a meter high and getting conflicting info on the best way to build this.
Is it better to put down strip footings and retain and the pour an infill slab? Or pour the concrete slab and core fill wall a better option? Given the slope goes from 1 m to zero on 1 side, the other side is open only the back is constant 1 m high. Do I need a cavity or not?

Every external wall on slopping block that I have waterproofed over the last 10 years has been core filled block with a protruding footing on the external side.

Make sure they leave you a trench around 400mm down from the top of the footing for the drainage pipe and geo sock.
Also tell the block layer you want a full flat (no holes or gaps on the exterior, it will make waterproofing a lot easier.
