Default strip footings, level or stepped on sloping block?

    Gday,

With strip footings for an infill concrete slab, can you place the strip footing so top of it runs at the same slope of the land (5 degrees in this case)?

    Or

Do you have to keep the top of the strip footing as level as possible, & step it down as needed?

    Thanks for any replies

    cheers

keep the top of the strip level and put steps in as required. be sure to match your step sizes to the guage of the material you are using... eg. bricks = 86mm steps, blocks = 200mm steps, etc. hope this helps!
