Default Better than any FB group

Have had no success on FB groups. Then I stumbled across this site.

Doing up my house bit by bit. Was built in 1900-1904.

The internal walls are all rendered. I have a few small sections where render has come out and many places the paint has cracked or peeled back because the lack of preparation to properly paint it by previous owner.

Question 1: best filler to use for patching up walls.

Question 2 : how do I fix peeled or cracked paint sections in preparation for repaint, without peeling the whole wall back.

    Note: walls are 4m high.

Thank you all for any advice or comments you may have.

    When you say “rendered”.
Are the walls solid brick ?
Or are the walls lathe and plaster ?

Answers will depend on the above.
