    Default Sound dampening for A/C

    We have a reverse cycle ducted system in our house and our nextdoor neighbour asked if we turn the unit off at night as he says it is too noisey. What are some ideas for dampening out the noise from the outdoor unit. Would a screen with plants and the like suffice or is there some other material that would do a better job?

    As suggested try some sound barrier ply, even follow up with some bushy plants that can help screen the ply and also soften the noise on the other side of ply.

    See similar sound barrier ply erected and planted out.
