    Default Tape Measure

I've noticed that American feet & inches tape measures have marks every 16" for stud & joist centres. Has anyone seen an Aussie equivalent with 450mm centres marked?

Just wanted to save time by not having to calculate multiples and make up various templates.
Have watched 'how to' videos on you tube and it appears that these tape measures have been designed to conform to building standards in the USA. It also seems that manufacturers of building products supply in multiple of 16" which therefore streamlines the building process by saving time & reducing waste.

Have you seen my (free) Android app, that speaks running measurements, as you mark them out?

Running Layout Builders Android App - Talks You Through the Mark Out

Enter the increment (450 ?) and start point, and either use a timed delay, or put your phone in your top pocket and tap the BIG next button through your shirt to step through the measurements.
We used to be fast rough and expensive, but we've slowed down a lot lately

Not hard but could be easier given that many cladding flooring & lining products come in multiples of 600 & 1200mm
