Other than the cheaper one not having variable speed and the different design, there doesn't seem to be much difference. At least not to someone clueless like me. I'm looking to buy one of these three and without any other input, I'd probably go with the first one 'cause it's sexier.
First two are "Brushless" meaning they do not have brushes to wear out in the motor, better if you can afford, third one has brushes to wear out over time. Other than that it is just the shape of handle, my preference is always the Barrel handle (1st one), just more comfortable and agile for my use.
Ah, I did miss the brushless thing, thanks. I wouldn't have even included that one if I'd realised that. My main reason for asking is really the difference in the designs anyway. What advantages/disadvantages between those two designs or if they're basically just an aesthetic. The DJV182Z is available at my local but the barrel handled one would have to be special ordered.
Buy from a real tool shop not Bunnings and you will have someone explaining to you the differences.
All 3 have variable speed and variable oscillation. And they all need battery and charger, but I am sure you know that
The first one will need both hands to operate, the D handle can be used with one hand.
