Default Add a narrow sloped wall to existing structure?

    Hi,
I'm needing to add a narrow sloped/raked end wall to an existing courtyard covering but am unsure the best way to build it.
Approximate dimensions are 1800mm on the short side, 2100 on the tall side, 700mm wide.
Clear polycarb will be used for the window and hardiflex cladding below.
See the pictures for some very basic construction ideas.
I'd prefer to keep the window section as open as possible but I think I still need the top horizontal support?
    What do you think?
    Thanks

    Hi

Option 1 of your framing drawing looks OK to me - if you plan to run the polycarb sheets vertically maybe check the span you are allowed between support points and add the horizontal member per option 2 if required.
If you are running the polycarb sheet horizontally then you are only spanning 700 and I can't see the need for the horizontal member

    Thanks for the feedback.
I hadn't thought of the polycarb span. I took some detailed measurements this arvo, and will check with the supplier but pretty sure it'll be fine as 1 piece (817mm short side / 1167 tall side / 700 wide). It will be fitted against the frame, as apposed to a window sill, so should actually give it some additional stability.
