Default Building a set of front stairs

    Hi all,

Looking at building some front steps on the front of my post war home. It would be a landing straight out from the front door, then stairs down to the ground (about 1.8 metres).

My question is, should I just put the posts into stirrups in concrete, or get some concrete stumps to attach them to?

Yeh - I'm in Brisbane and can't find anything.
Also looking for docs on submitting plans for approval for a deck.

Maybe it's just me that's hopeless

Yeh I did start there - but couldn't find anything related to it.

Plenty of stuff about building over sewerage and building pools, but not much else!
