Hey all, I asked this over on metalwork but thought this sub-forum might be more suitable.
I want to build a 13m X 7m X 2.4m orchard enclosure using structural metal pipe and clamp fittings - like what's used for tennis courts, fences, scaffolding etc. The whole structure will be clad in chicken wire.
As the pipe costs more as you increase diameter and wall thickness, I have no idea what I can or should get away with.
Can anyone please advise me:
A) what size pipe to use (diameter and wall thickness)
B) what spans are acceptable? Would be fine to have some posts in the middle for support of the top/roof spans. And posts would be concreted in - not sure to what depth though.
Cheers
