    Default Base/ footings for firepit

So today I marked out and started digging.
The ground has a bit of a slope on it so I don't think I can just dig out and fill.
What's the best way to get a round shape level when setting up to pour concrete?
Whats the best way to set up circular formwork?
Looks bloody huge now I've started to dig but its what The Boss and I decided on

Mark out the circle with a stick and peg in the centre.
Put pegs in around the line, then use strips of 4mm ply to create the circle, it will bend into a natural curve, pin it to the pegs.

You will probably need to double or triple up the ply.

To get the height, use a long straight piece of timber with level on top of this,
Place across two pegs, knock them in until you get the height and level, then use these pegs as reference points for the remaining pegs, fix the ply on in line with the tops of the pegs.

    Thanx Metrix

Lockdown might be over for us next Wednesday so I can go to Bunnings then.

I did remember that way to scribe the circle and that's been done but I was unsure about getting the levels correct. That was a very lucid explanation.
