Default Experiences With Setting Sand On Pavers?

Im trying to stop weeds and ants in the pool paving and was going to try brushing in some sand that sets between the pavers. does anyone have experience with these, which one is the better choice? bunnings sell pave n lock which I think has cement in it, home hardware sell pave lok which is gel set? there may be other brands too

I just make my own mix of sand and cement, 4:1 thereabouts.
Brush in it then give it a very light spray.

    Weeds will come, eventually.

I might go that route, thanks. the weeds are a problem, but its the ants which are a much bigger problem, they're everywhere and keep pulling so much sand out the pavers keep sinking in places. Im hoping this will be the last time I have to pull up a section and relevel it if I can stop the ants

thanks for the suggestion, but my entire block is sand so trying to control the ants with pesticide isnt practical.

no I meant mix it in the bedding sand. I used it to control funnel ants on lawn. They donít come back to that area. It is used professionally to trench around posts and footings for termites. I canít see ants going there after treatment.
