Unhappy Crooked wall with door trim butted up against leaving an uneven gap in corner

    Hi there,

usually I would let this go, but my plan is to wallpaper this area. Any ideas on how to remedy this so that I can get a cleaner corner for my wallpaper to line up with? I was thinking of adding an additional piece of trim, but the wall is so crooked I don't know that it would work out, plus the issue of adding trim all around the door at different depths :S sounds like a headache! I'm not a carpenter by any means.

Ideally new architraves should be scribed to the wall and fitted so there in no gap.
Other option is to use a small quad or tri profile timber moulding that will bend to the profile of the wall.

As this is primarily an Australian based forum, products available locally may be known by different terms.

Could use gap filler. On top of foam rod if required. If that doesn’t work, use quad (perhaps the triangular type).
