Default Odd problem: How to hide a garage door...

This is an odd problem but we want to turn our garage into a living room for 4 months of the year (visiting inlaws!). Are there any doors that would not look too much like garage doors from inside yet still work as a garage in the 'off' season? We thought maybe bifold doors that you operate manually or wooden doors that open on a hinge. It would also be good if they were insulated!

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Cheers

Bi-fold doors sounds like a good proposition to me. They usually use a bottom track though, but not all of them.

Just put up a temporary wall in front of it - metal studs to keep the weight down, and 8mm painted ply sheeting or maybe 3mm MDF as the wall surface. Do it in "I can lift this" sections complete with fibreglass insulation and after its built, it shouldn't take more than an hour or so to put up/pull down, which isn't too bad if it will be up for four months at a time.

You could even use that sandwich layered stuff that has insulation welded into it (sorry, no idea of the brand name, but it is used on patio roofs at times). Should be pretty light as it is a foam insulation. And with the metal framing that Master Splinter suggests it should work just fine.

Tie dyed dropsheets to hide the door, bookcase made from besserblocks and scaffold boards, cable drum for coffee table.
    Peace out man.
