    https://www.renovateforum.com/f84/re...-window-94708/

    Dear folk

I have 22 TREND brand sliding aluminum window,,,I was able to remove 20to clean their tracks only 2 I wasn't able

I can lift them by a few mm but they still won't clear the bottom lip from their frame track,,,,,,,,dimension for those 2 sliding windows are 90mm by 120mm roughly

Any trick how to undo them from the frame ?

    Thx

    1. Check that there is no anti-lift device on the top edge.
    2. Check there is no top roller installed that can be wound down.
    3. Check for bow in top and bottom reveals, I had sliders where the hardwood frame had shrunk and bowed the reveal and track enough that the window panes could not be removed.

Have also see a sliding door where the door was built too tall to be removed from the track once assembled. Only option was either remove entire door/frame or cut the lip on the lower track.

You may need to reduce the file size as the site is limited what can be uploaded. Easy to do in mspaint.

    1. Check that there is no anti-lift device on the top edge.
    I couldn't see any
    2. Check there is no top roller installed that can be wound down.
I checked but it doesn't look like there is one
    3. Check for bow in top and bottom reveals, I had sliders where the hardwood frame had shrunk and bowed the reveal and track enough that the window panes could not be removed.
I guess this is not applicable to my case

    Thx
