Is the part on the end turned, if so they are finials.
If the peice is shaped like cut on a bandsaw then they are a type of corner bracket.
It can also be a combination of a corner bracket and finial.

I'm hoping someone can tell me what the name of the small roof embellishments is in the below pic? I'm looking at the small wooden globes hanging down above the verandah. (we want to get some for our renovation

I'd call them a 'corbel'
Joined RF in 2006...Resigned in 2020.
At your timber/hardware supplier, you will probably find them listed as verandah brackest, but you may not get a stock match. You may have to get them specially cut.
They are called 'eaves brackets'.
