It is not long term exposure and wearing the N95 mask should have kept you safe.

This elevated coup has a pull out tray under the laying box to remove dung and room enough underneath for the birds to get out of the sun. Post 7 shows the roof and chook yard. Built from leftovers but with new iron on the roof.

The levy seems a counter productive move to me if you want to increase the uptake of electric cars. get the saturation level you have targeted then hit the public with a levy. If the aim is to pay for roads it would be nice if it didn't start with general revenue.

Is it a consumption tax though? the answer will be with the High Court, it would appear to be a very narrow and specific argument. Does it differ substantially to a road toll, a fuel excise or petroleum volume royalty. The High court may refuse to hear the case, or deliver an outcome nobody expects. Watch with interest most decisions are a bit ho hum but this may startle the pigeons, I wouldn't be taking bets, one thing is for certain it will take some of our annual tax contributions to the...

It is hard getting solid lengths in which case laminated is probably a good alternative, you will pick the glue lines but it will be stsble.

There is some research being done for under 12's, probably only a matter of time before one of the vaccines is listed as suitable. Yes, WA and Qld do seem to be playing hard ball, or dumb balls, hard to tell which.

They do have the power but are very reluctant to use it except in exceptional circumstances. I doubt this government would be interested in going down that road on this particular matter.

The discussion at the political end seemed to have had a shift over the month of August from a starting point of containment and now one of vaccination, the delta strain without doubt being the cause. While our leaders remain fractious we are seeing the Federals making greater efforts to bring in sufficient doses of vaccine, vaccination centers are able to pump through good numbers and you actually feel there is a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel. You can see Australians are...

The 6 meter beds have a brace in the middle, otherwise they are just a box. Four of us built the bulk of the beds with a handful of others doing a single bed, probably 10 or so in total. Another bloke and myself fitted out the containers and built the gazebos and storage bays. We intended using large working bees of volunteers however lockdown 1 struck at the start and we had to resort to small groups however with two main volunteers. We have children’s groups, community groups and individuals...

One perch higher than the other is supposed to be best, doubt it matters much, main thing is to make sure they can't poo on each other. Size of perch is important, not too thin and should be rounded, not flat and no sharp edges. It's a foot thing. Careful not to over insulate, they do need some ventilation. Having said that I recently made one with branches for perch's, electric (solar) roof fan, some ceiling and wall insulation, an automatic door plus nesting boxes. we call it...

With gluing tongue and groove I have found that on the groove side the lower protusion is often set back a fraction. This almost guarantees cupping unless stuck to the substrate, the answer is usually to run the boards across a jointer to remove the grooves and a thicknesser to remove the tongue (or vice versa) No need for dowells or anything else. Your problem does look more like actual layup of the boards, however the onle fix will be to run a saw down the joint lines, square up the cuts and...

Make sure the stumper is leaving the place level. Some just wack in a stump and the floor looks like a rolling landscape. Currently dealing with a house with exactly that problem. Worst part is they have put new floorboards on top of the uneven joists
