Do you want to stain it or leave it in its raw colour ? Personally I would go with natural the stained one in the picture it looks a bit fake. For longevity an oil based polyurethane will do the trick, although, water based poly is a good option as it dries quick and is easy to recoat in the future if it needs a bit of a touch-up. I would go with the CFP version as it's a flooring product so it's naturally tougher and it won't yellow over time like an oil based product will. If you...

Do you need a new Modem or Router ? Why doesn't your service provider give you a new one if it's faulty (did you originally get a modem / router with your NBN subscription). What modem / router do you have at the moment. In basic terms a modem is short for Modulate Demodulate, it basically takes the signal provided by the NBN supplier and turns it into something your computer can understand. A NBN modem will have one Network port which connects to a router via a network cable, your...

I don't understand the $1000 fine for not reporting a positive, who the hell has a RAT test, they don't exist anywhere. I know NSW gov't had ordered 100 Million test, but the first of these go to essential public workers and vulnerable (which they should) but don't see them being given to anyone else. I assume the fine is only applicable if you are issued tests by NSW Health ? I was exposed to a positive work colleague on Monday, had a PCR on Tuesday, result came back Negative, but was...

Yes Trademaster is reliable, these doors are most likely made for them only, as they are a huge outlet mainly for Trade customers.. Don't bother getting the doors resized prior, they need to be resized on-site to suit each door opening. I have installed hundreds of doors and no two doors are the same unless they were pre hung ones from a factory. Each door needs fine tuning to suit each door jamb, this cannot be done anywhere except on-site. These doors will require a light sand, then...

Yes, he would definitely have his own Chef, he owns a chain of high end Vegan restaurants around Europe, I don't think he would be UBER Eating McDonalds :D It would be a bad look, if he caught Corona while here in that hotel they put him in, then end up in ICU, could you imagine the outfall from that, especially his father !!

I don't think anyone is intentionally pushing the virus around. It's due to bad timing of multiple causes. Opening state borders, international visitors importing Omicron just before end of year holidays (it only took one person to bring it in just like the two previous versions). Combine this with Christmas holidays, after two years of restrictions people just wanted to go away and not be confined to their house, or neighbourhood etc. With Omicron being supposedly more contagious and...

It was going to happen, how can you stop it close up shop ? that's the only way, no other country has come unscathed with Omicron, hopefully this is the last version we see and not another version of Delta.

Yep I realise that, NSW website will be up in a few days I believe so will most likely see similar if not worse results, considering we are at 45,000 without RAT numbers. The reassuring thing is the numbers in hospital / ICU are only around 0.79% in NSW so that would indicate the vaccines are doing their job. As of yesterday 234,000 cases detected, only 1738 in hospital, 134 in ICU, 33 on ventilators.

It's not a simple matter of removing the old sliding window, placing a bit of aluminium then a double glazed panel in place, it doesn't work like that. Do it that way and you will guarantee water ingress and most likely broken glass. Just go to a window manufacturer, they will manufacture you what you're after in an appropriate aluminium frame that has inbuilt water stops, rubber seals, flashings etc. Remove the old window and install the new one, sealing as required to ensure a draught...

This is how they were testing in China originally, they just threw about 100 swabs into one container then tested, so they would of had to take two swabs, they could then distinguish from the group of swabs, otherwise you would have to recall all the people again..

A friend son was considered a close contact of a school kid went to get tested, he was negative (unvaxxed as too young), she got tested while she was there and was positive, she had no signs of sickness. She was double vax, few days later felt very lethargic and headache for three days and was in bed for three days, her son and partner both got tested again, they were all in close proximity for days before she knew she was positive and while she was in bed. Neither got their results back as...

When you look at the price of commercial DIY systems you will understand why the $50 ones can never work and just end up disappointing. The professional ones run at 70 bar or higher, that's around 1000 psi. https://www.youmist.com.au/home-misting-system/

It was actually fluke that it ended up where it did and not half way off one side, easy 2 min fix. I will send you a pic when it's done so you can breath again :), actually I have been very lucky doing the positions of the points and switches here. Every one has ended up only needing a very small adjustment to be bang on in the middle of the tiles etc,

Attached with glue and headless 23Ga gun through the face, the holes are so small no need for patching, I found if you wet the face, the timber swells up around the nail and completely hides it. I pre coated the timber with a Matt water based floor polyurethane before attaching

It has made a comeback in the last few years especially in commercial situations, residential is just jumping on the bandwagon over the last 18 months. The last pics are some nice ones that have been done. A house I had years ago had plywood wall linings with fake wood veneer that was routed to look like cladding :D :D They also seemed to have a LOT of white draws for some reason !!!!! And every room had some mural picture, from plants, to the moon, and oceans HA HA HA HA HA HA

Not tassie oak, it's a hardwood, not sure what one, the grain is very tight and 99.99% knot free, it looks like western Red Cedar once you apply a clear coat, I really like the colour.

The cheap ones don't work, I had one at the last house, the slightest wind and all the mist disappeared upwards in a few seconds. The ones that run off the tap don't have enough pressure, and the nozzles are too big, so they end up wetting everything within a few metre vicinity. The inlet has to be filtered as the nozzels are very small, but not small enough to create drop free mist.

Guaranteed to be mistakes made, NSW average of 159,000 tests per day since 20th December, at least there are some results coming back, South Australia has a 70 hour wait for results, they are only doing 22,000 tests a day. Had a friend who's kid was classified as a close contact of a kid that tested positive after school finished, so they lined up for 3 hours to get tested, Mum thought she would get tested as well. Son came back negative, Mum came back Positive, she had already done two...
