I'm getting a gable steel patio installed off the front of my house (see the photo).

Can I save money by going directly to the truss maker etc and just paying...

I'd go 100mm thick and SL72 steel mesh reinforced - i like overkill more than saving money though!

a 3m by 6m slab, 10mm thick, steel mesh SL72 reinforced cost me $600 recently.
