Its only a few boards out of the 550mts of boards and only appeared after a week or but was concerned it would cause issues when oiling.

As the title says, do i need to oil the underside of the deckboards prior to screwing them down. I have conflicting info as to if this is needed or not so any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm at the stage now where i need to order the decking timber but can't choose between Kapur or Merbau. So apart from the colour difference what are the for and again for each of the two types?
